Manufacturing Operator (Temp to Perm)

We are seeking a Manufacturing Operator (Temp to Perm) to play an integral role in our production facility. This position will support the production of new products into manufacturing. The right candidate will apply their knowledge of procedures, processes, materials, and equipment to perform manufacturing of product in our facility that delivers innovative and reliable hardware. Inflammatix is a venture-backed diagnostics company bringing the power of precision medicine to the point-of-care. We are building novel diagnostic, prognostic, and predictive tests that combine rapid detection of human immune gene expression (mRNA) panels with advanced machine learning.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Production and manufacture of Inflammatix cartridges in an assembly line environment; including use of hand tools, fixtures, assembly modules, and automated component placement machines
  • Inspecting in-line products during the manufacturing process to ensure products are made to documented quality specifications
  • Properly escalate production issues on the floor
  • Properly document problems or product failures/deviations, process issues or equipment failures
  • Ensuring line clearance is performed on the production line
  • Ensuring production documents, equipment logs, and all documentation are filled out appropriately
  • Ensuring the production floor/work area is cleaned, organized, and all equipment, machines, and workspaces are maintained
  • Working with engineers to determine process improvement and help with new product introductions

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Diploma (or equivalent), an associate degree, or certification in manufacturing technology or similar specialty (preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience working in a Medical Device Industry in a cleanroom or Controlled Environment Room (CER)/ISO environment (ISO13485)
  • 2+ years of cGMP/cGDP experience
  • Experience with line clearance processes and understanding when/why it is performed
  • Experience with laser welding/heat staking and automated component placing in assembly modules work
  • Reagent handling experience
  • Hands-on experience with labeling, packaging, and inspection
  • Understanding of how a production line and product flow operates (single piece flow/batch processing)
  • Experience with in-line production inspection for quality and able to determine non-conformances and/or deviations to the product
  • Experience in a production environment or experience as a mechanical assembler
  • Computer skills and experience with common software; Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, , email)
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions in documentation
  • Experience with making redlines to documents
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

  • Aptitude to identify issues on the floor and escalate to management appropriately
  • Ability to read engineering documentation is a plus
  • Able to work well with others in a fast pace, high throughput environment
  • Able to be an independent worker as well as able to work on a team
  • A self-motivated individual, flexible with a positive attitude, and willingness to take on new challenges
  • Strong verbal communication skills, an ability to closely follow written work instructions, and able to understand manufacturing flow
  • Organizational and self-management skills with solid reasoning ability to contribute to solving shop challenges as they arise

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This is a job that is performed in a manufacturing shop setting with loud machining equipment
  • Standing or sitting for extended periods may be required at times
  • Some moderate heavy lifting is likely (ability to lift up to 40 )
  • Good manual dexterity for the use of common shop tools and equipment such as laser welders, basic machine shop equipment, hand tools,
  • Occasional overtime hours to be performed as needed

COMPENSATION AND CLASSIFICATION

  • Classification: Full-time temporary position for 3-months with the possibility of converting to a full-time role

  • Compensation: The hourly range for this position is $31.00 - $36.00

  • The base salary range for a full-time position is $65,000 - $75,000 per year, which represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this exempt position.

  • Please note that actual offer will vary based on factors including, but not limited to the candidate's geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors including internal equity. As such, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the lower or upper end of the range. Please also note the compensation range listed is just one component of the company's total rewards package. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the total compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

  • U.S. employees are offered medical, dental and vision insurance, as well as access to HSA, FSA, commuter, LTD, STD and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in our company 401k plan and employer match. Employees accrue up to 15 paid vacation days, 7 paid sick days and 10 paid holidays per calendar year. Inflammatix U.S. offices are closed for winter break each year between Christmas and New Years Day and the company offers this time as additional paid time off for U.S. salaried/exempt employees.
