- Perform testing, observation, and inspection as directed, following training and specified procedures to ensure work complies with contract specifications.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
- Prepare inspection reports and document any nonconformance.
- Conduct basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before communicating to the Project Manager.
- Communicate information to the Project Manager and other personnel as directed.
- Interact with clients and other site personnel to provide input on resolving findings.
- Assist Project Manager in developing scope for testing and inspection services.
- Coordinate pre-dispatch activities with Project, Department, and/or Office Managers.
- Maintain equipment operation and assist more lead inspectors on large, complex projects.
- Follow safety rules and practices for all projects and perform pre-task planning.
- Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Maintain quality standards on all projects.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with post-tension concrete and reinforced concrete.
- WABO certification required.
- Ability to use inspection equipment and conduct inspections.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Proprietary anchors, reinforced concrete, post tension, firestopping, and structural wood certifications are preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
With 480 active projects and three dozen different projects a week, work is primarily commercial, not much in transportation, and focused within the Seattle Metro area. Projects are primarily located between Tacoma, Seattle, and Bellevue, ensuring minimal travel outside these areas. Our scheduling team works diligently to assign projects closest to employees' homes. The role involves high-profile projects, providing opportunities for career advancement through continued certification processes.
