HVAC Service Technician with VRV/VRF Experience

Location: Maplewood, NJ

Compensation: $25 - $50 per hour

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Service Technician with VRV/VRF experience to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing heating and air conditioning systems in both residential and commercial settings.

Responsibilities

As an HVAC Service Technician, you will:

• Service and Repair HVAC Systems: Perform maintenance, repairs, and efficiency improvements on HVAC systems, including changing filters, cleaning ducts, and refilling non-toxic refrigerants.
  
• Ensure Customer Satisfaction: Build strong rapport with customers to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
  
• Diagnose System Issues: Test pipe/tubing joints for leaks using pressure gauges or soap solutions, and test electrical circuits/components for continuity with electrical test equipment.
  
• Replace Defective Parts: Repair or replace faulty equipment, components, or wiring as needed.
  

Qualifications

We're looking for a team player who is comfortable working independently, takes pride in a job well done, and has a positive attitude. The ideal candidate will have:

• Prior HVAC Service Experience: Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or comparable education.
  
• Valid Driver's License: A current and valid driver's license.
  
• EPA Certification: Current EPA certification is required.
  
• System Knowledge: Experience with the operation and maintenance of chillers, heat pumps, air handlers, and geothermal systems.
  
• Physical Ability: Must be able to climb ladders, crawl into tight spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds.
