Position Summary:
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Sr. Facilities Project Manager for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). Under the guidance of the Department Head/Director, the Sr. Facilities Project Manager coordinates, develops, designs, and budgets renovation projects throughout the University.Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Interfaces with a dynamic team of University technical staff, including project management, maintenance, safety, controls, commissioning, and utilities groups to ensure that projects are implemented properly from conception through final acceptance.
- The Sr. Facilities Project Manager runs anywhere from 5-15 projects in various stages of design and construction with minimal supervision from the Director.
- Must be highly motivated, organized, and persistent with follow up to keep projects on schedule and under budget.
- The Sr. Facilities Project Manager is responsible for millions of dollars in design/construction work per year.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the design and construction process.
- A minimum of five years of experience in the industry as a project manager, architect or engineer.
