Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and be adept at diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality service to our customers while ensuring the safety and efficiency of all vehicles serviced.

Duties

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including but not limited to diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Conduct inspections of vehicles to identify issues related to HVAC systems, electrical components, air brakes, and hydraulics.
Fabricate parts as needed to ensure optimal performance and reliability of diesel engines.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs and recommendations, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used during repairs.
Collaborate and communicate with team members to ensure timely completion of service requests.
Experience

Proven experience in diesel engine repair is essential; experience in a truck repair shop setting is preferred.
Familiarity with HVAC systems, electrical systems, air brake systems, and hydraulics is highly desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues effectively.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to diesel mechanics are a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 60 per week
