A top construction client is looking for a Mechanic to join their Equipment Branch for a direct placement opportunity. The main responsibilities are split up: 80% fixing/servicing broken equipment and 20% mentoring/cleaning/paperwork. They should be experienced managing inventory and ordering necessary parts and supplies to complete repairs, overhauling components (i.e. engines, transmissions, undercarriages, electrical systems, cooling and braking systems), and using computerized diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical problems and applying corrective actions. Some types of equipment that will be worked on are flatbed trucks, rollback trucks, Bobcat skid steers, and semi tractor/trailers. The ideal candidate would have around 7-10 years of experience as a mechanic dealing with the maintenance of primarily diesel engine equipment.

Skills and Requirements
5-10+ years of mechanic experience
Diesel engine experience
Vehicle and Semi tractor/trailer experience
Experience with heavy equipment down to small generators/pressure washers (roll back truck, forklift, Bobcat brand skid steers, vehicle and Semi tractor/trailer)
Working knowledge of gasoline, diesel, propane, electric, and natural gas motors, components and accessories
Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot problems and solutions quickly
Willingness to help mentor fellow coworkers Experience at rental companies such as Sunbelt or United Rentals
Welding experience (not required: certified tech or certified welder)
Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, motors components and accessories (gasoline, diesel, propane, electric, and natural gas)
Experience with concrete specific machinery: Trowel machines, soffcutt saws, drum vacuums null
