Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for restoration projects based on site assessments.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to define project scope and objectives.
- Conduct on-site evaluations to assess damage and determine necessary restoration work.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare estimates.
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing and resource management.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the estimating process.
- Review and adjust estimates based on project changes or client feedback.
- Utilize estimating software to streamline the estimation process and improve accuracy.
- Proven experience as a project estimator in the restoration or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of restoration processes, materials, and techniques.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in estimating or construction management preferred.
- Positive attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients.
The IICRC is the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification, a non-profit organization for the Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Industries. The IICRC, originally named the International Institute of Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning Inc. (IICUC), was founded in 1972 by Ed York. Since starting in 1972, the IICRC has evolved into a global organization with more than 49,000 active Certified Technicians and more than 6,500 Certified Firms around the world.
The IICRC is managed by its Board of Directors, which is composed of 15 industry leaders elected by the IICRCs Shareholders. The Board of Directors function is to represent the various interests of the applicants while leading the direction of the organization. The Board of Directors meets four times per year and is tasked with the responsibility of helping shape future policies of the organization and uphold the standards that help shape the industry.
