Job Title: Superintendent
Job Description
The Superintendent will be responsible for the daily on-site management of construction activities for projects. This role requires a proactive leader who can coordinate subcontractors, enforce safety standards, and ensure that all work meets quality specifications and project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors on-site.
- Enforce safety standards to maintain a safe work environment.
- Ensure all construction work meets quality specifications and project timelines.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Conduct construction supervision and general contractor duties.
- Manage project coordination and quality control processes.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial or institutional construction.
- Proven experience working on higher education or healthcare projects.
- Proficiency in construction management, subcontractor management, and project management.
- Experience with Procore, RFI, and safety protocols.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience dealing with large or high-end clients.
- Experience running jobs up to 1.5 million.
- Experience working on medical centers.
Work Environment
Work will be conducted fully onsite on UVA Campus. The role offers an opportunity to join a growing small business in the Charlottesville market, which is on the preferred vendor list for UVA. The environment is dynamic with steady work in the market.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
