The Master Electrician/Electrical Superintendent position at Lumin8 is a critical leadership role responsible for providing direction to the project teams as well as Journeyman and Apprentice electricians on staff. They will drive efforts to complete the customer projects on time while maintaining a high level of quality, safety and efficiency. The Master Electrician/Electrical Superintendent has significant impact on the success of the company and delivering on our mission to be the most trusted name in the industry.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage, lead, evaluate, develop, and train field electricians.
- Plan, organize and direct production of contracted electrical scope of work.
- Development of Daily Field Reporting (DFR) process.
- Schedule electrician assignments weekly and provide follow up.
- Interview, hire and ensure proper onboarding of new Electricians.
- Track Apprentice hours and ensure Journeyman/Apprentice ratios are maintained.
- Maintain Lumin8 Electrical licensing.
- Issue, manage, close out all permit processes as required.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, inspectors, and other trades.
- Maintain knowledge and compliance needs for DORA, NEC, and other applicable agencies.
- Assist PMs to coordinate timely and efficient production and attend meetings with teammates and customers to identify and resolve any conflicts while providing excellent customer service.
- Ensure all installations meet quality and electrical code standards.
- Manage material and personnel requirements necessary to meet schedule.
- Ensure adherence to all standards of quality, safety, and best practices.
- Attend Weekly Team Meetings – Pre-bid, Pre-con, Financial, Safety
Required Skills/Abilities:
- OSHA 30 certification
- Skilled field supervisor with at least 10 years of experience managing crews and running high value electrical construction projects.
- Experience troubleshooting field electrical issues - civil and roadway experience.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code, state and local building regulations and DORA is strongly preferred.
- From time to time, this position will be assigned the role of Project Estimator, Project Manager or Project Lead for a specific Project.
Education:
- Must have an active Master Electrician license in the State of Colorado.
Physical Requirements :
- Work outside, inside, and in noisy and hazardous areas including roadside.
- Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations.
- Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
- Work in all types of weather.
- Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or up to 45 pounds of force frequently, and up to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
