Electrical Inspector Field-Based Role Supporting

Location: Queens & Brooklyn, NY

Schedule: Fieldwork from September through Memorial Day Weekend

Start Date: Includes 3 weeks of paid training

Are you an experienced electrical professional looking to make a meaningful impact in New York Citys public infrastructure? Join a dynamic team of inspectors conducting Building Condition Assessment Surveys (BCAS) for schools across Queens and Brooklyn. This is a hands-on, field-based role where your expertise will directly support the improvement and safety of educational facilities.

• Conduct electrical inspections as part of a 4-person team focused on school building assessments.
• Perform HVAC and electrical system evaluations using standardized protocols.
• Use an iPad-based system to document findingsno complex tech required.
• Travel throughout Queens and Brooklyn during non-peak hours for site visits.
• Participate in coordination meetings and collaborate with project leads.
• Follow strict guidelines no asbestos evaluation is required.

• 5+ years of electrical inspection and surveying experience.
• Experience in electrical engineering or related technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and apply electrical codes .
• Experience with institutional or K12 projects is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with NYCHA, BCAS, MEP systems , and construction management is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
