Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Engineering professional to join our team in designing and developing innovative marine fender systems and port equipment. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while contributing to maritime safety worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Design and draft buoys, fender systems, and specialized port equipment Perform structural calculations for simple and complex fender system configurations Review and optimize fender system drawings and custom engineering solutions Collaborate closely with internal engineering, production, and sales teams Create detailed factory drawings for fender system solutions and port equipment Provide technical support to the sales team, including solution sourcing, cost analysis, and resolving customer technical inquiries Transform design concepts and calculations into precise technical drawings Maintain engineering databases to ensure all documents and drawings remain current Source and evaluate materials for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Industrial Engineering Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor Strong technical knowledge of structural analysis principles Self-motivated, proactive, and well-organized with excellent teamwork skills Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Previous experience in marine engineering or related field (not required but valued) Familiarity with maritime industry standards and regulations
Employment Details
Position Type: Full-time
Compensation: $31.00 - $35.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts
