Mechanical Design Engineer (Sheet Metal/Structural Focus) Job Location: Troy, Michigan Join Taikisha USA, a global leader in engineering, designing, and constructing paint finishing systems. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you be immersed in every stage of the project, from conceptualization to installation, fostering collaboration and innovation along the way. As an expert in large assemblies constructed from a combination of sheet metal and structural steel, you will play a key role in building on our legacy of proven solutions. By leveraging emerging fabrication and installation methods you will deliver enhancements that elevate performance, quality, ease of installation, and modularity. Your role Design and model large assemblies constructed from sheet metal and structural steel. Utilize Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD to deliver complete solutions including. Approval drawings for customer input and approval. Bid drawings for subcontractor communication and clarification. Construction drawings for submission to fabricators. Final drawings for project closure. Collaborate with fabricators (both in house and subcontractors) to leverage emerging fabrication and installation methods while ensuring compliance with design intent. Balance fabrication costs with installation costs, utilizing modular design and innovation. Research existing designs and historical references to identify viable solutions that can be applied and/or adapted to meet new project requirements. Adapt to customer requirements, drawing from historical references. Adapt to project coordination needs to facilitate optimal solutions. Collaborate with project management, project engineering, and fellow members of the Design Engineering Team to ensure quality and consistency. What you bring to the table Minimum three years& experience in engineering or designing large assemblies constructed from a combination of sheet metal and structural steel. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, or Autodesk Inventor. Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively. Strong documentation and organization skills.
