Structural Designer

We are currently seeking a Structural Designer with experience designing structural support steel for conveyors, racking systems, and/or mezzanine floors to join our client's team in the Troy, MI area. While local candidates are , relocation assistance may be offered for exceptionally qualified individuals . Position: Structural Designer Type: Direct Hire Compensation: Based on experience and education, anticipated between $100,000-$120,000 Ideal candidates will have most (if not all) of the following qualifications: Associate degree in Design and Drafting is strongly ; equivalent experience or a related degree will be considered Hands-on experience in the design of structural support steel for conveyors, racking systems, and/or mezzanines Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD for structural steel layouts Strong background in creating detailed fabrication drawings for bolted and welded connections Familiarity with material take-off calculations , stick drawings, general loading, and basic beam calculations is strongly Ability to successfully complete pre-hire requirements including background check, references, education verification, and drug screening
