Entry-Level Electrical Engineer

Amentum is seeking an Entry-Level Engineer to join our team in Norfolk, VA. The selected candidate will perform a variety of engineering assignments in support of Naval Station Norfolk's Mid Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) Code 286 with test, installation, operation, and maintenance of electric/electronic equipment and systems.

Essential Responsibilities :

• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting with the installation, modification, repair, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and repair of sonar systems and subsystems. Systems include:

  • AN/SQR-19 and MFTA Towed Array Systems

  • AN/SQQ-28 Sonobuoy Receiving Systems and AN/SQQ-89

  • On-Board Training (OBT) systems and subsystems

  • Provide technical support for urgent mission degrading CASREPs or other system and component problems

  • Provide technical support for assessments and inspections such as TMIs, TSRAs, INSURVs, and Assist Ships Force with obtaining supply and repair parts information as required

  • Assist with technical research and resolution recommendations

Minimum Requirements :

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, TAAS, and other programs necessary for report filing

• Good communication and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs

• Position may require travel

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a secret clearance.
