Scale House Operator - Hiring ASAP

The Scale Operator is responsible for monitoring/weighing incoming truck loads and weighing outgoing material loads as well as collecting the appropriate fees from the customer as needed.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate both inbound and outbound scales.
Record correct company truck identification.
Record corrects inbound and outbound weights of vehicles by accurately operating a computerized scale program.
Inspect material hauled in by each truck entering the facility for proper billing.
Grade each load by material.
Ensure all Cash Sales transactions are processed correctly
Balance daily receipts to ensure accurate record keeping and appropriate billing.
Communicate with yard foreman/loader operator regarding loads when needed.
Instruct drivers and customers on proper unloading procedures.
Provide excellent customer service.
Provide administrative and clerical support to department and management.
Other tasks and duties as assigned by management.

Must be computer literate
Accurate data entry skills
Ability to distinguish colors
Cash handling experience is required
Punctual and reliable; a good attendance record is a must

The Scale House is open from 6.45 AM to 7.00 PM on weekdays and from 8.00 AM to 4.00 PM on Saturdays.
Your scheduled shift will be anytime between 6.45 AM to 7.00 PM.

EDUCATION:

Grade 12 or equivalent
