Position Overview:
As the Internal Learning and Development Manager, you will play a key role in assessing training needs, designing strategic learning initiatives, and coordinating onboarding and professional development for agency staff. Reporting to agency leadership, you will ensure our team is equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to meet evolving challenges in election administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead comprehensive training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and priorities aligned with agency goals.
- Design, coordinate, and deliver engaging training programs using adult learning principles, drawing on internal expertise and external resources.
- Oversee the onboarding and orientation process for new hires, ensuring essential election-related training is effectively delivered and continuously improved.
- Develop and implement evaluation methods to measure training outcomes, analyze data, and recommend enhancements for continuous improvement.
- Support staff development and career pathways by advising on leadership growth and capacity building.
- Prepare clear, actionable reports on training activities and outcomes to inform agency leadership and stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs.
Knowledge of adult learning theories and effective training techniques.
Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
Ability to analyze data and produce comprehensive reports.
Masters degree in a related field.
Experience within a government or public sector agency.
Knowledge of South Carolina election laws and administrative regulations.
