Highland Consulting Group is working with a General Contractor in the Harrisburg area that has a need for an experienced Superintendent . Successful candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent working on commercial ground up projects of $10 million+. This is a permanent position with projects in a commutable distance requiring no overnight travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and delegates tasks with other site project team members and Project Manager.
- Work with the Safety Manager to create a safe work site.
- Coordinate everyday tasks involved in the construction process.
- Schedule crews and subcontractors.
- Arrange for material and equipment to be on site as needed.
- Work with the foremen to coordinate the daily production plan.
- Oversee quality control.
- Daily reporting of all work completed.
- Provide technical expertise and coaching to resolve production issues and verify the execution of corrective actions.
- Work to keep the project on schedule, meet the specifications, keep the project safe, and meet the expectations of the Project Manager
- Interface with the owner on all projects assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on projects larger than $10 Million.
- Mix of ground up and fit out commercial project experience. Background with public works projects is a strong plus.
- Solid Communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Solid, proven and verifiable record of career stability and superintendent success a must.
- Must be able to pass a federal background check and drug screen.
