Transportation Engineer 3, Office of E-Construction, PN 20065729

  • Coordinating and approving contractor proposed innovative Value Engineering Change Proposals with key offices.
  • Developing and implementing policy for the construction management oversight of Local Public Agency projects.
  • Coordinating, tracking, technical writing, and process implementation of ODOT Construction specifications.
  • Investigating, overseeing, and establishing policy for Innovative Contracting Solutions.
  • Supporting and overseeing construction management statewide policies.
  • Assisting in implementing ODOT's Partnering Program and supporting Construction Claim & Dispute Resolution.

Licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as group or project leader providing work direction & training to engineering technicians &/or lower-level engineers or 12 mos. exp. in conducting engineering related research (i.e., conducting engineering related research only applies to staff specialist positions); if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess valid driver's license.

  • Or licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as Transportation Engineer 2, 85642; if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess valid driver's license.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated registration.
