Role: IT Project Manager Infrastructure
Location : Remote (Pittsburgh, PENNSYLVANIA)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven IT Project Manager Infrastructure to support strategic infrastructure transformation and remediation programmes for our client. The ideal candidate will have 9 11 years of progressive project management experience delivering infrastructure projects in complex, regulated environments.
The role involves managing server upgrades, application migrations, LAN and network refresh projects, and working closely with cross-functional global teams to meet delivery timelines and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver end-to-end infrastructure and IT operations projects covering cupgrades, server migrations, storage remediation, and application hosting transitions.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. IT Operations, Security, Architecture, Facilities) and third-party vendors for coordinated delivery.
- Create and maintain detailed project documentation including project charters, schedules, RAID logs, resource plans, and financial tracking.
- Drive project governance, ensuring adherence to PMO standards, reporting to leadership with regular updates.
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change control, ensuring timely resolution and escalation as needed.
- Lead stakeholder communication across business units and technical teams.
- Support compliance with internal and external audit and validation requirements, especially within regulated or pharmaceutical environments.
- Execute server decommissioning, infrastructure lifecycle upgrades, and datacentre transition plans as per agreed milestones.

- Infrastructure Project Delivery 9 11 years Proven track record in delivering IT infrastructure projects including networking, server replacements, and data centre upgrades.
- LAN / WAN / Network Refresh 3 5 years Experience in managing Infrastructure /WAN transformation or site-based network modernisation.
- Windows Server / File Systems 3+ years Familiarity with Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, file server clean-up, and storage transitions (e.g. to VAST).
- Application Hosting & Migration 3 5 years Hands-on coordination of hosted app migration (on-prem/cloud), decommissioning, and server relocation.
- Project Planning & Tools 5+ years Proficient in MS Project, JIRA, or equivalent tools for project planning, status tracking, and resource allocation.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management 5+ years Ability to lead cross-functional coordination and vendor governance across multiple teams and geographies.
- Risk & Change Management 5+ years Skilled in identifying risks, managing change requests, and maintaining documentation.
- ITIL / ITSM Framework 3+ years Understanding of IT service models, CMDB/asset management, and service delivery frameworks.
- Regulated Industry Experience Preferred Experience working in pharmaceutical, biotech, or similarly regulated environments (e.g. GxP).
Preferred Certifications
- PMP or PRINCE2 Certification
- ITIL Foundation or higher
- Microsoft Azure or infrastructure-related certifications (optional but desirable)
