Hybrid Sales & Project Manager- Kelowna BC

Door Systems, part of ASSA ABLOY, is seeking a dynamic and driven Sales & Project Manager to join our busy Kelowna team. This hybrid role combines strategic sales with hands-on project management to support our customers through residential, commercial, and industrial segments.

Sales Responsibilities

  • Promote products and service offerings across your territory including pedestrian doors, sectional and rolling doors, dock equipment, impact doors, roll shutters, gates and residential garage doors.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities through cold calling, warm leads, referrals, and account management.
  • Grow market share, drive revenue, and support profitability across product lines.
  • Analyze client needs and recommend tailored solutions through proposals, negotiations, and contracts.
  • Attend industry events, conduct product demonstrations, and maintain up-to-date product knowledge through training and self-learning
  • Generate sales reports, forecasts, and maintain accurate CRM data.

Project Management Responsibilities

  • Manage full lifecycle of awarded projects from quoting and material ordering to installation coordination and client communication.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specs, and construction documents to ensure accurate take-offs and delivery planning.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including operations, installation crews, and procurement to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
  • Create and manage project documentation such as RFIs, schedules, and project updates.
  • Oversee job site activity to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients during project execution to address technical questions and resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Excellent time management and ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Sales-minded with attention to detail and a service-oriented approach.
  • Self-starter with integrity, drive, and ability to work independently.
  • Strong planning and analytical thinking.
  • Financial acumen with ability to estimate, quote, and manage project budgets.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma required.
  • 25 years of combined experience in Sales and/or Project Management.
  • Experience in the construction or door industry is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of residential, commercial, or industrial building products and systems is an asset.

Work Environment & Travel

  • Must be able to travel throughout the Kelowna and surrounding region to meet with clients and oversee projects (up to 50%)
  • This position requires a balance of in-office, on-site, and fieldwork.
