- Provide innovative design solutions for a wide variety of project types.
- Create new products and product enhancements to existing products.
- Coordinate designs with product marketing, customer service, production, supply chain, accounting, and other departments.
- Support production activities at the manufacturing location.
- Stay current with technical advancements and worldwide regulations and standards.
- Manage large-scale projects effectively.
- Experience and success in implementing sound designs with manufacturing to meet cost and assembly targets.
- Knowledge of design principles, particularly related to large multicomponent assemblies, with 5+ years of experience.
- Engineering knowledge to evaluate test results and determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
- Experience in evaluating and solving design-related issues in manufacturing and production assembly.
- Excellent communication skills and proven experience in interacting with different groups to finalize products.
- Disciplined, motivational personality who is self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of sustained effort.
- Hands-on approach and mechanical aptitude.
- Commitment to accuracy, detail, and well-thought-out designs.
- Thorough documentation habits paired with excellent organizational and management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced product design team.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related
- Sheet metal design experience, with Creo being a plus.
- Experience with Creo and SolidWorks.
- Background in Mechanical Engineering and New Product Development.
