The team you will be a part of 

The Brand Management team promotes and maintains the brand image at local, national or international levels. Coordinates marketing strategies, including packaging, pricing, expense budgets, advertising and promotion of the brand. Develops associated advertising campaigns for the brand.

This role in summary 

Whirlpool is hiring a Regional Activation Manager for the Builder channel to develop builder activation plans. They will work with the brand, National Accounts (Builder), Pro Sales (Big Box), and Sales Strategy and Ops teams to promote and represent our products effectively. This individual will be responsible for driving sales and trade partner engagement while enhancing brand visibility and preference. They will act as the primary marketing contact for strategic development and execution within the Builder channel. There will be occasional travel for team meetings and industry events. This role is eligible for remote work.

Your responsibilities will include 
  • Account management for Builder Accounts
  • Lead the development and strengthening of the marketing partnership with priority Builders, adapting to varying levels of marketing expertise and capability
  • Design and execute regional marketing campaigns and promotional activities in collaboration with key strategic channels and in alignment with annual activation plans
  • Develop differentiated value propositions that resonate w/ builders
  • Identify consumer segmentation to inform targeting, messaging, and campaign optimization
  • Develops annual activation plan (JBP), in a close collaboration with retailer, sales team and brand marketing, making sure of alignment between priorities and strategic direction
  • Lead channel strategy & annual planning, through the development of channel specific resources
  • Deliver business objectives for accounts and brands, and define advertising needs online and omnichannel
  • Ideate marketing plans and identify gaps in current resources w/ process partners
  • Manage execution of the plan (development of short-long term strategy and budget)
  • Lead and execute the strategy for builder events and sponsorships
  • Own WhirlpoolPro.com and the builder CRM strategy & execution
  • Lead the external agency relationship and reconcile hours/budget
  • Act as the Event/Trade Show media lead (PR)
  • Support the Launch Business Team (LBT) with product launches
Minimum requirements 
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Marketing, Account Management, Sales, Project Management, Product Development, Brand Management, Channel Marketing or Shopper Marketing
Preferred skills and experiences 
  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Marketing
  • Agency and Vendor Management experience
  • 2+ years of experience with Builder Marketing and Project Management
  • Strong influencing, and relationship building skills - including advocating for the shopper, aligning objectives across teams and partnering internally and externally to grow the business and brand equity
  • Proactive project management skills as well as strong time management, prioritization and org acumen
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with digital marketing strategies, including Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), email marketing, and social media
  • Learning agility, growth mindset, critical thinking, sound judgment and effective decision-making ability
  • Proficient computer skills, especially with Google Slides and Sheets
  • Strong analytical skills to measure and interpret campaign performance and market trends
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with clients or stakeholders and work with cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges and develop effective solutions
  • Ability to manage projects simultaneously, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
