Are you a detail-oriented and experienced Fire Alarm / Fire Sprinkler Estimator? We are seeking a professional to review project documents, perform take-offs, and prepare competitive bids for fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems. This role requires technical knowledge of life safety systems, NFPA codes, and construction processes.

What You'll Bring:

We are looking for a candidate with estimating experience and a solid technical background:

  • 3+ years of estimating experience in fire alarm and/or fire sprinkler systems.

  • A solid understanding of NFPA codes, local building codes, and industry standards.

  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Planswift, Bluebeam, Excel).

  • Organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

  • NICET certification (preferred but not required).

  • Experience with both new construction and retrofit projects is a plus.

  • Familiarity with fire alarm control panels and detection systems is beneficial.

  • A background in project management or design is also a plus.

Responsibilities

As an Estimator, you will be a key part of our team, with responsibilities including:

  • Reviewing and interpreting drawings, specifications, and RFPs for fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems.

  • Performing accurate quantity take-offs and preparing detailed estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.

  • Developing and submitting complete bid packages and proposals within deadlines.

  • Communicating with vendors and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing.

  • Collaborating with sales, design, and project teams to ensure scope clarity and alignment.

  • Identifying potential risks , value engineering options, and cost-saving opportunities.

  • Maintaining records of estimates and historical cost data.
