HVAC Controls Technician**

Location: Summerville, SC

Schedule: Day Shift | MondayFriday | 7:00 AM 3:30 PM

Employment Type: Full-Time (Minimal Overtime)

**About the Role:**

Seeking a dedicated HVAC Controls Technician to join our facilities team. This full-time position plays a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our HVAC systems and building automation infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on HVAC experience, a proactive approach to preventive maintenance, and a solid understanding of controls systems. **Key Responsibilities:**

+ Operate, maintain, install, repair, replace, troubleshoot, and test HVAC systems and components.

+ Respond to routine and emergency service calls related to HVAC systems.

+ Perform preventive maintenance inspections and services per established schedules.

+ Assist in the design, installation, and commissioning of new or modified HVAC and process equipment systems.

+ Support the operation and maintenance of building automation systems (BAS), fire protection, and security systems.

+ Provide training and mentorship to team members on HVAC operations and repairs.

+ Utilize CMMS to track maintenance tasks, create work orders, and maintain detailed logs and reports.

+ Develop and improve SOPs for HVAC processes and procedures.

+ Identify and implement HVAC and BAS improvement opportunities.

+ Oversee and direct work performed by contractors and service providers.

+ Prepare cost estimates, order materials, and complete assigned work orders in accordance with company procedures.

+ Maintain records including blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and logs.

+ Assist in developing specifications and technical data for budgeting and capital projects.

+ Ensure compliance with FDA/TGA/NSF regulations and Thorne SOPs.

+ Adhere to federal, state, and local building codes and site safety standards.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

**Required Qualifications:**

+ Technical/apprentice school certification or equivalent experience.

+ Minimum 6 years of experience in commercial HVAC maintenance and BAS controls.

+ Proven ability to coordinate small projects and oversee contractor work.

+ EPA Universal CFC certification.

+ Extensive knowledge of Carrier and Daikin HVAC control devices.

+ Experience with Carrier iVu Pro BAS software preferred.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.00/hr.
