Juneau Construction Company's Risk Management team is growing! We are looking for a Senior Contract Administrator to join our Atlanta, GA based team in providing administrative support to our operations and project teams.
The Senior Contract Administrator position provides senior level administrative support for construction projects from startup through final closeout. The Senior Contract Administrator serves as the liaison between the project team in the field and the Risk/Legal department ensuring all standard operating procedures and policies are followed. The Senior Contract Administrator performs activities related to subcontracts, purchase orders, bonds, insurance, notice to contractors, and notice to owners.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- 5 years' experience in an administrative capacity; construction industry experience preferred
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with project set up and ensure Notice of Commencement is filed in timely manner
- Compile and issue all forms of subcontracts, purchase orders, rental agreements, service agreements, and work orders
- Assist in record keeping and compliance with subcontract change orders and purchase order change orders
- Collect, track, and index all non-payment related contract documents, including but not limited to subcontracts, purchase orders, affidavits, and close-out documents; ensure proper compliance with applicable state lien laws and Juneau standards/policies
- Manage relations and work closely with subcontractors/vendors to resolve paperwork issues related to the issuance of, administration of, and closing out of contracts
- Collect, track, index, and maintain current subcontractor (and in some cases vendors and lower tier) insurance certificates and endorsements; send to Risk Management for review
- Assist in CCIP and OCIP subcontractor enrollments
- Track and index Notice to Contractor/Owner notifications and lower-tier lien waivers
- Take the lead to resolve contract and insurance issues, consulting with Risk Management as needed
- Work diligently with project management to ensure the timely closeout of projects
- Maintain current, up-to-date knowledge of lien laws and best practices; attend training and educational programs as needed
- Serve as liaison between the project team and the Risk/Legal department to maintain effective communication and coordination
- Provide contract and insurance-related compliance reports and logs to the accounting department as needed
- Other duties as assigned by Risk Management
Systems Knowledge:
Experience with traditional construction industry software similar to the following:
- Microsoft Office
- Excel & Procore based cost projection system
- Procore document control
- MS Teams
- Viewpoint/Vista financial software
- Building Connected/Procore Subcontractor Solicitation/Prequalification
Physical Demands / Job Expectations:
- Position may require extended periods of time sitting and/or standing, talking both in person and over technological avenues, lifting up to 20 lbs. as needed
- This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring a regular in-office presence at least three days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week based on business needs.
- Position requires tact and confidentiality, as Senior Contract Administrator is responsible for reporting on, and updating sensitive information pertaining to the organization and its' clients, trade partners and other relevant parties.
