The Creative Studio, Apartment Therapy Media's award-winning branded content team, is looking for a Project Manager to lead creative projects through post-sale execution. From paint makeovers to custom recipes to editorial integrations, the Creative Studio creates high-quality original content every day to share with Apartment Therapy Media's audience. The Project Manager sits at the heart of the Creative Studio's work.
Clear written and verbal communication, excellent attention to detail, and impeccable organizational skills are some key elements of success for this role. An ideal candidate will also possess creative problem solving and an eagerness to find efficiencies. This role requires the flexibility to zoom in and out on a project, from the big picture to the granular details. Most of all, the Project Manager should enjoy being the hub to all the creative spokes of the team and relish the opportunity to oversee complex, time-sensitive projects from beginning to end.
The Project Manager reports to the Associate Director of Project Management. The Project Manager reports to the Associate Director of Project Management. Our office is located in SoHo, where employees work a hybrid schedule of at least 2 days per week in the office.
Responsibilities:
- Have a deep and comprehensive understanding of each campaign in our portfolio, in order to create timelines, manage deliverables, and ensure that each member of the Creative Studio team understands their responsibilities and interdependencies
- Manage internal and client-facing timelines via both Asana and Google docs.
- Translate clients' campaign objectives for internal teams to ensure clarity of expectations, deliverables, timelines, and scope of work
- Create and manage the process and workflow for collaborative projects between the Branded Content team and Editorial teams, including built-if-sold projects and other tentpole programs
- Manage feedback and approvals for all projects, including communicating updates to the relevant team members and maintaining strict 'version control'
- Lead daily stand-up meetings tracking project status against internal timelines and weekly cross-departmental meetings for large programs
- Gather all deliverables and package for clients ahead of due dates with custom decks for each deliverable round, and review all deliverables to ensure that all links and interactions work properly and fulfill the media plan.
- Collect, organize, and maintain all assets (including custom assets and client assets) in Google drive for the department to access
- Schedule all custom features, social media posts, video elements, co-branded banners, rich media units, and email units for launch
- Implement tracking tags in posts, build emails in our template, and provide other technical work to ensure timely delivery of content
- Work with the presale team to create potential timelines for future campaigns
- Problem-solve across departments on a daily basis
Experience/Skills:
- 3+ years experience managing projects, preferably at a publisher, production company, or agency
- Impeccably organized, a rational thinker, attentive to detail, and skilled at managing multiple time-sensitive projects at once
- A self-starter, quick to learn and eager to take on responsibilities
- Proficient at Google apps, Microsoft apps, and Asana
- Skilled at graceful yet direct business communication
- Passion for home design and cooking is a plus!
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Salary Range: $82,000 - $87,000
The above represents the expected salary range for this role. Ultimately, compensation is determined by level of experience, location, and other job-related factors.
