About the Role We're looking for an experienced and motivated Contract Foreman - Fire Alarm to lead field installation crews, oversee project execution, and ensure all alarm system work is completed on time, safely, and to code. This role is best suited for a hands-on technician who is ready to step into a leadership position and drive field operations forward. You will be the go-to leader on jobsites, coordinating day-to-day tasks, managing field crews, interfacing with inspectors and clients, and ensuring quality and documentation are top-notch. General Responsibility Checklist Lead the day-to-day field installation and service of fire alarm systems, including device mounting, wiring, terminations, and final testing. Supervise field crews and assign tasks based on scope, schedule, and skill level. Read and interpret construction drawings, riser diagrams, submittals, and project specs. Conduct jobsite safety checks, enforce PPE use, and oversee lift/tool safety. Submit accurate daily job reports, including crew hours, photos, materials used, and site updates. Coordinate with Project Managers for inspections, material needs, and scope changes. Perform on-site quality assurance to ensure work meets NFPA 72, local AHJ, and customer standards. Communicate clearly with GCs, inspectors, customers, and internal departments. Train and mentor junior alarm technicians on installation methods and system operation. Support redline documentation and closeout package preparation. Qualifications 5+ years of fire alarm field experience (installation, service, or inspections). 3+ year experience as a crew leader, foreman, or senior technician preferred. Proficient with fire alarm systems (FACP, NAC panels, devices, circuits, etc.). Familiarity with brands such as Notifier, Siemens, Silent Knight, Fire-Lite, Honeywell, or equivalent. Strong understanding of NFPA 72, local codes, and industry best practices. Ability to read and mark up drawings, schematics, and device layouts. Strong communication and time management skills. Must be safety-focused and lead by example on all job sites. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. No DWI or DUI convictions.
