Provo City is seeking a part-time Shootings Sports Park laborer to assist with maintenance at the gun range.

What is the compensation?

Pay Rate: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour (depending on experience)

What will I do?

  • E nsure proper operation of target systems

  • Aerate, fertilize, top-dress, over-seed, spray herbicide.

  • Operate trucks, four wheelers, or small tractors.

  • P erform general facility maintenance.

  • Assist with range setup for various activities.

  • Assist other crew members as needed/directed and perform other related work as required.

What do I need to apply?

  • Sufficient knowledge, training, and/or experience that demonstrates an ability to perform the duties of the job.

  • A v alid, lawful driver license.

  • Preference given to those with experience monitoring shooting or gun ranges.

What are the hours and duration?

Normally 10-20 hours per week. Actual schedule determined by supervisor.

What are the physical and environmental factors?

This work requires strenuous physical labor, walking, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 70 pounds), and exposure to adverse weather conditions and some pesticides. Applicant must have the physical strength and agility to perform the work.

What is the selection process?

Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted, with the first screening being held on DATE. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.

If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
