Plumbing Design Engineer

Apollo Technical is seeking a skilled and motivated Plumbing Design Engineer for a direct-hire opportunity with a leading architecture and engineering firm specializing in educational, athletic, commercial, and industrial building projects. Key Responsibilities

• Design plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, storm drainage, and fire protection
• Produce detailed construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD MEP
• Perform plumbing calculations such as pipe sizing, flow rates, and fixture unit counts
• Coordinate BIM models and resolve conflicts across trades
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other professionals throughout project life cycles
• Participate in design meetings and contribute technical insights to project solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited)
• 24 years of plumbing design experience in a building systems environment
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD for plumbing layout and modeling
• Strong understanding of plumbing codes and standards
• Familiarity with BIM coordination platforms (e.g., Navisworks)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• EIT certification preferred
