HVAC Technician**
**Job Description**
The HVAC Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, installing, repairing, replacing, troubleshooting, testing, and responding to routine and emergency service calls related to HVAC systems. This role includes performing preventative maintenance inspections and services on HVAC systems according to schedule, assisting in the design and installation of new HVAC systems, and supporting the modification of existing systems and components.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems according to schedule.
+ Assist in the design, installation, and commissioning of new HVAC systems and modifications to existing systems.
+ Support maintenance and operation of building automation systems, fire protection systems, and security systems.
+ Utilize CMMS to track preventative and corrective maintenance tasks and create work orders.
+ Develop and improve SOPs to document processes and procedures effectively.
+ Identify, implement, and document HVAC equipment improvement opportunities.
+ Oversee and direct work completed by outside contractors and service providers.
+ Complete assigned work orders, prepare cost estimates for repairs, and order materials as per procedures.
**Essential Skills**
+ Hands-on experience with HVAC systems.
+ Troubleshooting HVAC systems and components.
+ Preventative maintenance skills.
+ Problem-solving abilities.
+ Tracking and data upkeep.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 5+ years of experience in HVAC.
+ EPA certification is a plus.
+ Carrier iVu experience is a plus.
+ Proficiency in related technologies is a plus.
+ GMP is a plus.
+ Technical/apprentice school certification.
