A day in the life:
Inspect work in process and completed work to ensure conformance to specifications
Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned trade/craft workers
Study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for successful project completion
Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for area of installation
Review and release Shop Drawings and Spool Drawings for timely field installation
Teach, coach and guide teammates to ensure that they work safely and productively
Ensure appropriate teammates are participating in hazard reporting; audit 5 x 5s and pre-task plans for compliance; hold teammates accountable for these actions
Monitor and control manpower and tools to ensure efficient and effective use of resources and provide oversight of inventory activities
Review weekly report of costs incurred; identify possible cost-saving opportunities
You should have:
At least 5 years' industry experience, including supervisory experience
Extensive knowledge of International Codes and general HVAC and plumbing systems
OSHA 30-hour certification and knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred not required)
Extensive experience in handling personnel issues
Excellent mechanical, administrative and analytical skills
Ability to use current technology (i.e., computer, tablet, smartphone, Microsoft Teams, Procore, BIM)
