About the Role:
The Virginia Department of Elections (ELECT) is seeking a Senior GIS Architect to lead the full implementation of ArcGIS Enterprise (11.3+) in a multi-environment (Staging & Production) setup with high availability.
Must-Have Skills:
10+ years in GIS architecture, preferably in Microsoft/Azure environments
Proven expertise deploying ArcGIS Enterprise with Portal, Server, Web Adapter, Object Store
Strong knowledge of SQL Server, geodatabase design, spatial analysis
Skilled in Python (ArcPy, Pandas) and SQL for automation
Experience with firewalls, ports, DNS, licensing, user accounts
Familiarity with GIS web services (REST, SOAP)
Clear communication and strong documentation skills
Bonus Points:
ESRI Enterprise System Design Professional (ESDP2201)
Experience with ArcGIS Monitor, System Log Parser, System Designer, eGDB Health
DevOps familiarity for GIS deployment and automation
