  • &nbsp&nbsp A full-time Precision Machine/Welder Teacher position is open at Mansfield Senior High for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a Career Technical Education position.
    The successful applicant will teach secondary students about basic print reading, hand tools, measuring tools, power hand tools, metal forming tools, CNC milling machines and lathes, surface grinders, basic welding, and general hydraulics and pneumatics.

    Qualifications:
    Must complete the state-approved Resident Educator program. a. Alternative Resident Educator for Career-Technical Workforce
    Development: Minimum of a high school diploma with 5 years of
    full-time work experience or the equivalent in the career field, and
    completion of a minimum of four semester hours of an approved
    pre-service career-technical education program OR b. A supplemental license for Career-Technical Workforce
    Development Programs may be obtained by an individual who
    holds a standard teaching license, who has five years of full-
    time work experience or the equivalent in the career field, and who
    completes a minimum of three semester hours of an approved pre-
    service career-technical education program.
    Directly Responsible to: Director of Career Technical Education and Building Administration

    Duties/Performance Responsibilities
    1. Implement by instruction and action the district's philosophy of education, goals, and objectives.
    2. Implement and maintain the approved course of study.
    3. Partner with local businesses/industries to maintain current workforce knowledge/skills and gain local employer support/placement sites for CTE students.
    4. Participate in professional growth activities (i.e., association conferences, workshops, webinars, curriculum committees, webexams reviews, etc.).
    5. Create and submit weekly lesson plans to the Director of CTE that clearly reflect State standards and clearly convey those standards to students
    6. Maintain accurate student records and use Progress Book for record keeping
    7. Utilize a variety of classroom management techniques to properly supervise the classroom and ensure that students maximize on-task time
    8. Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.
    9. Establish and maintain a cooperative relationship with co-workers, as well as supervisory personnel.
    10. Provide for the safety and welfare of students and staff.
    11. Maintain confidentiality with regard to information about students, staff, and parents.
    12. Help foster desirable relations between the school and community.
    13. Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media consistent with the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
    14. Exhibit responsibility in maintaining proper building disciplinary procedures.
    15. Model acceptable, responsible classroom behavior for students at all times
    16. Other duties as assigned by the school administration

    Conduct : Each staff member shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance and abuse of any prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.

    Each staff member shall serve as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, intelligent human beings. Each staff member has a moral responsibility to help instill in students the belief in and practice of ethical principles and democratic values .
