Machine Builder Job Description We are seeking a skilled Machine Builder to assemble machine components into sub and full assemblies, using engineering drawings. The role involves wiring per electrical schematics, pipe fitting, welding, and machine testing. Customization work on machines imported from Japan may be required. Responsibilities Assemble injection molding and die casting machines according to work instructions and engineering drawings. Report all labor and expenses associated with each machine build. Assemble hydraulic systems including hoses, pipes, cylinders, adapters, and o-rings. Operate overhead and gantry cranes, forklifts, and other material handling devices. Update progress each morning at daily department meetings. Work safely, maintaining established OSHA standards. Essential Skills 2+ years of machine building experience. Ability to install hoses, pipes, cylinders, adapters, and climb inside/on top of machines. Understanding of trigonometry. Ability to read blueprints and schematics from day one. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with electrical resistance (inputs and outputs). Hydraulic pipe bending, fitting, and welding. Copper and steel tube bending and fitting. Why Work Here?
