Project Engineer - Entry-Level Role in Concrete Construction
Location:Columbus, OH
Salary Range:$60,000 - $75,000 base
As a Project Engineer, you'll begin your career in concrete construction by learning the fundamentals directly on the job site. With support from dedicated managers and mentors, you'll build your technical knowledge and leadership skills through a structured integration program designed to accelerate your career. Most Project Engineers are promoted within one year.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with managers and mentors to understand project scope, schedule, safety, and quality plans.
- Develop and execute work plans, track progress, and adjust based on feedback and performance.
- Manage daily safety, quality, and execution of assigned tasks.
- Learn through hands-on experience in daily preparation and execution processes.
- Responsibilities may evolve based on your skills and interests and could include:
- Estimating and quantity take-offs
- Field engineering (line and grade)
- Forming walls, columns, and structural slabs
- Place/finish operations
- Slab on grade and slab on metal deck prep
- Production tracking and inspections
Candidate Profile
- Action-oriented, collaborative, and eager to grow.
- Hands-on construction experience is a plus but not required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Completion of a degree in Construction Management, Concrete Industry Management, Civil Engineering, or related field before start date-or equivalent work/military experience.
Work Environment
- Construction sites may involve rough terrain and inclement weather.
- Reliable transportation to job sites is required.
- Physical requirements include lifting at least 50 pounds and working at elevation.
- A drug test is required prior to employment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
