Job Summary
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in SolidWorks, CAD modeling, and design for manufacturing (DFM/DFA). The role involves structural calculations, design modifications, cross-functional collaboration, and reviewing FEA, FMEA, and assembly/testing procedures for productivity improvements.
Job Description
- Completes structural calculations during development of design modifications & new designs
- Direct, review and advise on analysis, modification and designs.
- Working with a cross functional team such as electrical and implement design changes as per requirement
- Review of FEA analysis on design modifications & suggest new designs as required
- FMEA reviews on new design developments including DFMEA and PFMEA.
- Utilizes DFM & DFA techniques during generation of design modifications and new designs
- Familiar with advanced manufacturing processes such as machining, welding etc.
- Review assembly and testing procedures and suggest better assembly processes / productivity improvement.
- Collaborate with other disciplines and support functions to ensure smooth delivery of solutions and create impactful relationships
Skills Required
- Hands-on experience in SolidWorks to generate design modifications or new designs.
- Hands-on experience in design, drafting, CAD modelling, GD&T etc.
Education/Training/Certifications
- Highschool diploma or GED.
