Electrical Engineer
Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in supporting and participating in our Quality Management System (QMS). You will be responsible for designing, integrating, and testing advanced avionics systems for various aircraft and in a systems integration laboratory environment. As part of an engineering team, you will contribute to the integration of avionics systems, support the electrical design process, and assist the Lead Avionics Engineer in aircraft integration efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Design, integrate, and test advanced avionics systems for various aircraft and laboratory environments.
  • Support electrical design efforts, including development of requirements, detailed design, analysis, and defining testing requirements.
  • Participate in program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and assist the Lead Avionics Engineer.
  • Utilize Computer Aided Design and configuration management tools for successful integration.
  • Draft detailed technical reports related to design, installation, troubleshooting, testing, and certification of avionics architecture and systems.
  • Oversee or perform hands-on troubleshooting of avionics components and harnesses in laboratory or hangar environments.
  • Complete all other tasks assigned by the Lead Avionics Engineer.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
  • Expert knowledge of electrical system design, integration, and testing.
  • Familiarity with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
  • Ability to author technical reports.
  • Experience with aircraft avionics systems.
  • Ability to obtain DoD SECRET clearance.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Solidworks experience preferred.
  • Avionics experience preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects efficiently.
Work Environment

This position is onsite in a hangar located in Guntersville, AL. You will work on aircraft out on the floor, while also having a cubicle in office space close to leadership and other engineers. The organization is small and hands-on, providing ample opportunities to gain practical experience. The work schedule consists of 4/10s, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $62.50/hr.
