A successful Foreman maintains a high work ethic, is supportive, punctual, organized, detail-oriented and a team player. Additionally, they remain coachable, with strong communication skills, and seeks to empower and train others through displaying and championing our mission, values and development opportunities for themselves and others. This role is followed by the Foreman 2 role; training and development opportunities provided by Painters USA. Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years general painting experience
  • Minimum 2 years relative commercial/industrial experience
  • Use of personal truck able to transport small equipment, including sprayers, ladders, product, etc.
  • Expert safety knowledge & awareness; OSHA10 required, OSHA30 preferred
  • Highly skilled in area(s) of commercial, industrial painting and coatings with expert knowledge of proper equipment usage, materials, and supplies
  • Successful completion of at least (1) industry certification (example: NCCER); preferred, not required; can complete at Painters USA
  • Successful completion of drug and alcohol screening
  • Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation and clean motor vehicle record (MVR) are required, with ability to travel up to 25-50% of the time; job site locations change, employee is responsible for transportation
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customer and crew
  • High school education, preferred not required

Performance Responsibilities
  • Strict and expert-level adherence and oversight on all Safety Responsibilities
  • Brings expert-level skills and knowledge to the job (equipment, processes, products, etc)
  • Responsible for the completion of daily job compliance requirements: JSA, paperwork, report cards, inspections, etc.
  • Sets and monitors daily and overall project goals, communicates them effectively to the crew and drives success around them through to project completion in areas of safety, quality and production
  • Supports and encourages the training and development of all crew members, especially new hires in the field and through Painters USA programs and career ladder
  • Engages in ongoing personal career development (career ladder and training opportunities)
Safety Responsibilities
  • Expected and encouraged to participate in safety and health program activities including the: reporting hazards, unsafe work practices and accidents immediately to their supervisors, and wearing required personal protective equipment.
  • Follow safety procedures, and complete all assigned safety training.
  • Recognize and correct hazards and report hazards to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Conduct all work in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state and federal safety and health regulations, programmatic standards, and special safety concerns identified by Painters USA for use in a particular area or with a client.
  • All employees are the experts on the tasks they perform and the tools, equipment, and materials they use. Painters USA therefore encourages workers to report safety and health concerns and make suggestions for making the workplace safer. They can do so directly with their supervisors or Safety Department.
  • All employees will report accidents and incidents immediately to their supervisors.
Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 15-50lbs, repetitive bending, kneeling, ladder climbing and use of power tools, heavy machinery and ladders.
