POSITION SUMMARY:
This position oversees various projects assigned by the General Services Director of Operations and assists with initiatives requiring involvement of the General Services Department, ensuring the timely completion of all deliverables.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with management, oversight, and direction of General Service's projects from initial planning, design, and construction of projects, ensuring completion within established budget and timelines.
Organizes and maintains all project-related materials (e.g. scope documents, plans, timelines).
Schedules and facilitates all necessary meetings to coordinate projects to completion.
Reports business issues and potential risks to the Director of Operations, and proposes appropriate solutions.
Communicates project status, updates, and issues promptly and accurately to stakeholders.
Assist in preparing municipal submissions, permit applications, and coordinates with regulatory agencies.
Ensures compliance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices.
Prepares reports and business correspondence, effectively presents information, and responds to questions from project partners, contractors, and the general public.
Prepares written plans and specifications for public bid documents for projects, service contracts supporting various projects, building or property maintenance, and operations.
Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year college or university with coursework in business administration, project or construction management, or related discipline.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Five-plus years of relevant civil experience.
Possess skills in financial accounting, business operations, organization and management necessary to analyze, evaluate, coordinate and control a variety of programs, practices and systems.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, technical drawings, development plans, etc.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local policies, law, and regulations.
Experience in federal, state, and local grant processes.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat.
