Welder**

**Job Description**

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our final assembly department. This position involves fabricating parts that have been machined or cut to size, primarily through TIG welding, with some MIG welding. You will work closely with a team of 10 welders, overseen by the Welding Supervisor and Plant Manager.

**Responsibilities**

+ Perform TIG welding for 95% of tasks and MIG welding for 5%.

+ Use hand tools such as angle grinders and sanders to finish rough edges on stainless steel or aluminum.

+ Operate additional tools, including tube bender, drill press, and saw to create necessary parts.

+ Read and interpret blueprints specific to client requirements for short-run production.

+ Ensure quality and precision in all welding and assembly tasks.

**Essential Skills**

+ Minimum of 3 years of TIG stainless steel experience.

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints.

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Fabrication and assembly experience.

+ Experience with machine shop tools such as lathe, Bridgeport, and grinders.

+ Pipefitting skills.

+ MIG welding experience.

**Work Environment**

Work in a clean and organized facility with a total of 84 employees, including 10 welders. The dress code requires working attire with a welding helmet and gloves. Steel toe boots are necessary. The facility is divided into various departments such as Engineering, Machining, Welding, Metal Finishing, and Shipping/Receiving, all contributing to the creation of finished products from raw materials under one roof. The second shift runs from 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM, Monday through Thursday.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison Heights, Michigan.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
