Description

The commercial service plumber reports to the service manager and is responsible for providing plumbing services to commercial, industrial and institutional customers including repairs and installations of hot water systems, domestic water systems, sanitary sewer systems and ventilation systems. Service plumbers work closely with the dispatcher and their area leader for daily assignments, materials acquisition and weekly scheduling.

In this position you will establish and maintain a positive relationship with customers, vendors and co-workers through effective oral and written communication skills via phone, computer, and face to face. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, site surveys and service requests including repair, replacement and modifications of plumbing systems as needed or requested by customers. Communicating with customers, account managers and project managers regarding service call findings and recommendations is required. Job stress will range from moderate to extreme, with an average day being moderately stressful.

Requirements

Essential Functions

  1. Safely perform plumbing service visits to Maxair commercial, industrial and institutional customers including repairs and installations of hot water systems, domestic water systems, backflow prevention testing, sanitary sewer systems and ventilation systems.

  2. Safely perform emergency service visits to Maxair customers as well as new customers

  3. Purchase required material from supply house, using Maxair electronic PO system, and submit receipts weekly

  4. Complete Maxair electronic work order forms for each assignment and submit daily

  5. Communicate regularly with Maxair dispatcher to receive daily assignments and report status

  6. Communicate regularly with assigned area leader any technical or customer issues

  7. Communicate with Maxair service sales personnel to support repair quotes, new maintenance agreement quotes and other customer needs

  8. Maintain Maxair assigned tablet, phone, tools and vehicle to optimize useful life

  9. Support Maxair financial goals and initiatives to achieve them

  10. Conform with Maxair policies and procedures at all times

  11. Conform with Maxair safety policies and procedures at all times
