Responsibilities
Health Research, Inc. is seeking an Hourly Project Assistant II to work within support, organize, and evaluate activities led by the Public Health Continuing Education (PHCE) Unit. The incumbent will gain hands-on experience in a public health office setting and will apply knowledge and develop skills in workforce development, training logistics, internal communications, and project coordination. The incumbent will assist with training selection and registration, logistics planning, and data evaluation. Responsibilities will include tracking training registration, attendance, and participation data, maintaining training calendars of the PHCE unit, collecting and evaluating participant feedback, and supporting documentation efforts for internal reports and dashboards.
This position is part of the Pathways to Public Health Internship Program. It is made available through funding from the Center for Disease Control's Public Health Infrastructure Grant to expand opportunities to strengthen career pathways to public health by bringing together students of all disciplines and academic levels with public health professionals to create a space of exploration, learning, and development.
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a relevant training program or pursuing a related degree or certificate in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated interest in public health, education, adult learning, or program coordination
Demonstrated strong writing, communication, and organization skills
Demonstrated familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Excel, and SharePoint
Experience analyzing and organizing project-related tasks in a collaborative environment
Conditions of Employment
Hourly, grant funded position expected until approximately 11/28/2025. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Travel, 10% of the time, will be required.
The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire. Telecommuting will not be available.
