Sales Development Manager (Waterworks)

To learn more about our purpose and values, visit our career site at Purpose This position will focus primarily on leading the team that is responsible for creating bid proposal documents and assisting with other sales development processes focused on metering products and services. Key Responsibilities Lead Proposal Team throughout the proposal process and other sales development process performed by the team Ensure proposal team is trained or has access to training that is necessary for job growth Create Standard Operating Procedures for tasks done by the team Work with Reece/Fortiline Finance Team on tracking of projects that require bonding Work with Bonding Agent to secure bonding for projects Work with Insurance Agent to confirm insurance requirements put forth in RFP Review Proposals put together by the team for errors/omissions Review Proposals put together by team for compliance to RFP's specifications Track bid results (win/loss) and obtain bid tabs Research government bidding platforms for upcoming metering projects and send out relevant bids to sales team Either through fiscal year budgets, CIP, etc. or through recently released bids Lead, with Reece Marketing, marketing throughout territories with meter manufacturers Assist with trade show/conference registration where metering will be primary focus Key Competencies and Skills Required Physical Capacities - Lift up to 25 pounds on occasion, sitting and standing for extended periods. Minimum Qualifications Strong written communication skills - writing, reading and written comprehension, and written expression Strong oral communication skills - speaking, speech clarity, speech recognition Preferred Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's Degree Knowledge and skills commonly found in someone with 8+ years of experience Strong understanding of smarter water solutions (AMR/AMI) and utility/public-sector proposal responses Our commitment to excellent customer service is just part of our story.
