Description

We are seeking an Engineer Mechanic I to join our Austin office. You will design, develop, and test mechanical components, parts, and assemble product equipment, signage, and merchandising.

What Will You Be Doing?
  • Exercises discretion and independent judgment in designing, developing, and testing mechanical components, parts, and assembly of product equipment, signage, and merchandising.
  • Customarily and regularly develops solutions and performs prototype testing for product validation and design verification.
  • Customarily and regularly creates and shares engineering data with cross-functional teams, including parts and assembly drawings, bills of material, and engineering change orders.
  • Utilizes engineering principles and best practices in designing parts and assemblies.
  • Develops project cost estimates and justifications; implements unit cost reductions for released products. Actively works on multiple projects, coordinating design tasks and timelines with management.
  • May act as a point of contact for vendors.

Skills, Knowledge, & Expertise for the job:
  • 0-2 years of experience in an engineering role working with large assemblies (250-300 parts);
  • Industry experience preferred.
  • Experience working with manufacturing groups and third-party vendors preferred.
  • Experience in electrical and mechanical design.
  • Creo knowledge and experience with the Solid Works application.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Some experience utilizing product design and modeling applications.
  • Some experience with project lifecycle management systems preferred.

The compensation for this role considers a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location at which the position may ultimately be filled. At Everi, it is not typical for all individuals to be hired at or near the end of the range; compensation decisions depend on each case's facts and circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $75,000 - $ 87,000 annually.
