Summary:
The HVAC Technician (Level II) is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing all A/C and refrigeration equipment, walk-in coolers, refrigerators, ice machines, etc. The HVAC Technician (Level II) works safely and economically, ensuring all steps are taken to avoid unnecessary costs with repairs or replacement. They will also work alongside fellow Engineers installing, repairing, and servicing vital hotel assets.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, repair, and install A/C and refrigeration equipment, including walk-in coolers, refrigerators, and ice machines.
Perform preventative maintenance to prolong equipment life.
Replace condensers, air handlers, compressors, and evaporator coils as needed.
Diagnose and repair ductwork and airflow problems. Install and maintain air/water filters on a scheduled basis.
Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs, parts used, and system performance, ensuring professional communication with hotel staff and guests..
Follow all Rosen Hotels & Resorts' safety and security policies and procedures.
Identify and report safety hazards, accidents, injuries, and maintenance risks to the supervisor immediately.
Ensure all work areas are safe and clean.
Complies with the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy.
All other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
2+ years of related experience and/or training.
Comprehensive knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including refrigeration cycles, electrical circuits, and airflow dynamics.
Strong analytical skills to identify root causes of complex HVAC and refrigeration issues.
Advanced preventative maintenance and inspection skills.
Ability to handle various hardware tools and diagnostic equipment for HVAC and refrigeration repairs.
Ability to read basic schematics and electrical knowledge.
Knowledge of slip units.
Ability to lift- up to 50 lbs. consistently and 75 lbs. infrequently.
Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
A/C Certified.
Valid Florida Driver's License required.
