Job Title: TIG Welder

Location: Stuart, FL

Department: Metal Fabrication

Reports To: Noel Brock

Job Summary:

Lay out, fit and fabricate metal components to support production of truck/trailer covering system components and other jobs in metal fabrication using TIG welding techniques and equipment. Work will be primarily stainless steel and aluminum.

TIG Welder I - Entry Level

Responsibilities:

Setup welding machine and TIG weld aluminum parts per print using applicable fixtures with instruction Proficient use of oxy-acetylene and hand-held plasma torches

Proficient in the use of hand and power tools to drill and deburr as needed

Proficient use of oxy-acetylene and hand-held plasma torches

Make basic math calculations

Properly stack and secure parts to pallets or racks and move them safely with a forklift

TIG Welder II - Skilled Level

Responsibilities:

Setup welding machine and TIG weld parts per print using applicable fixtures with minimal instruction

Must be able to specify filler rod, gas, and consumables for different alloys

Perform satisfactory TIG welds on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum of varying alloy

Must be able to fabricate parts to print, creating fixture or manual layout as required

Proficient in the use of hand and power tools to drill and deburr as needed

Proficient use of oxy-acetylene and hand-held plasma torches

Make basic math calculations

Properly stack and secure parts to pallets or racks and move them safely with a forklift

Identify components needed from prints

Saw cut and drill parts to print as needed

TIG Welder III - Advanced Level

Responsibilities:

Must meet all level 1 requirements

Must meet all level 2 requirements

Interpret and work from complex blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings with tight tolerances

Train and mentor TIG Welder I and II employees in proper welding techniques, safety practices, and fabrication processes

Comfortable giving direction and or leading Peers.

Shows interest in learning additional skills.

Shows good decision-making skills without supervision.

Great people skills

TIG Welder - Lead Position

Responsibilities:

Must meet all level 1 requirements

Must meet all level 2 requirements

Must meet all level 3 requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES

Must be able to pass forklift certification test and drive a forklift.
