Mechanical Design Engineer - Intelligence Systems

Contract Position

Pay Estimated: $91.52-$94.52/Hour

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)

Secret Clearance Required to Start

Design and develop innovative mechanical hardware for demanding environments as part of a cross-functional engineering team supporting Intelligence Systems programs. Create detailed designs, perform analysis, and ensure manufacturability in compliance with government and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop 3D CAD models and detailed drawings (CREO preferred).

• Perform structural and thermal mechanical analysis to ensure performance in challenging environments.

• Apply knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods to ensure production feasibility.

• Ensure compliance with technical, government, and industry standards .

• Contribute to technical papers and proposal development .

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams and lead elements of complex projects.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law

• Education: Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field.

• Experience: 5+ years relevant experience (or Masters + 3 years).

• Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance required.

• Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency with mechanical CAD (CREO preferred).

  • Mechanical design, documentation, and analysis (structural/thermal).

  • Knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in complex mechanical assemblies for defense/intelligence systems.

• Leadership of design projects from concept through delivery.
