Job Overview
As a Machine Builder, you will independently handle medium-complexity projects and assist in the build, installation, and validation of machineryespecially for Chrysler, Ford, and GM. This position involves hands-on assembly, installation at client plants, and upholding company quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Work independently on mid- to high-skill projects with minimal supervision.
- Assemble, install, and validate equipment from shop to customer site.
- Follow standard build practices for Chrysler, Ford, and GM.
- Assist the project team in solving project concerns and issues.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety and environmental regulations.
- Participate in continuous improvement and maintain a clean work area.
- Maintain predictable attendance and meet scheduled deadlines.
- Track and update the Engineering Bill of Materials (E-BOM) summary weekly and provide updates to the Mechanical Supervisor.
- Verify conformance of parts to BOMs and blueprints.
- Perform basic welding.
- Provide and maintain own tools and PPE.
- Demonstrate proficiency in rigging and crane operation.

Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- One-year certificate from a college or technical school; OR
- 5 years of related experience and/or training; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
- Able to read and interpret blueprints, project timelines, technical procedures, and government regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (including writing reports and presenting to managers or clients).
- Analytical and mathematical skills, including:
- Probability and statistics
- Plane/solid geometry and trigonometry
- Working with fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
- Able to troubleshoot and solve practical problems with limited standardization.
- Understand and follow both written and oral instructions as well as diagrams and schedules.

Physical Requirements
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.
- Routinely lift/move up to 10 lbs; frequently up to 25 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Must possess strong vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
