EMCOR Service Fagan is seeking a skilled Estimator/Project Manager to oversee HVAC projects from initial bid through final delivery. This dual-role professional will be responsible for estimating costs, sizing equipment, selecting equipment, managing budgets, coordinating teams, and ensuring timely and high-quality execution of mechanical construction projects.

Estimating

  • Analyze mechanical and plumbing drawings, specifications, and site conditions to prepare accurate HVAC cost estimates.
  • Identify labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs
  • Collaborate with vendors to determine optimal pricing and availability
  • Provide value engineering options and cost-saving alternatives
  • Prepare bid packages and proposals for clients

Project Management

  • Prepares estimates for projects, read, interpret and plans specifications.
  • Ability to prepare conceptual and Key budgets.
  • Ability to write complete proposals with detailed scope and exclusions.
  • Manage Projects through pre-planning, ordering, cost tracking, billing, project documentation and project closeout.
  • Manage existing customers relationships and provide excellent customer service.
  • Schedule field technicians for jobs and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Ensure OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Acts) standards and company safety policies are always complied with.
  • Participate in monthly work in progress meetings.
  • Represent company in project meetings.
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  • Responsible to be available to work on -calls basis.
  • Responsible for seeking educational opportunities and self-improvement for personal growth and development.
  • Additional responsibilities as requested

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customer, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; move within the office to meet with employees. This position requires ability to work at a computer (reading and keying) for extended periods of time. This role requires communicating verbally and in writing one on one.
