You will be provided with the tools needed to thrive. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Welder to work at our Zelienople, PA facility. As a welder at Robinson Fans, you will be responsible for welding most equipment fabricated onsite. This includes our fans and their housing. Each weld takes precision and skill. Our welders are critical to ensure our industrial fans meet the high-quality standards our customers are accustomed to. What youll do
Review project assignments and instructions from Group Leaders
Review and interpret drawings and welding details for all jobs
Obtain an understanding of the task and develop an action plan
Set up welding machine and other required equipment
Weld assemblies per the required standards
Ensure work meets quality standards
Practice safety in all aspects of the job and participate in safety improvement programs
Look for safety issues with equipment and processes
Understand the Principles of Lean Manufacturing (the 5S System should be followed in work areas)
Learn best practices from Group Leaders and other team members to improve your knowledge and skill level
Recommend process improvements
Consistently look for ways to eliminate waste What you bring A minimum of 2 years experience with Mig, Tig and Flux Core is required for this position High School diploma or GED required
A can do attitude and a willingness and desire to learn to build your skills as a welder Ability to consistently produce high-quality welds on all fabricated components
Ability to pass AWS D1.1 welding qualifications as well as AWS D14.6 if it applies Ability to lift up to 50lbs Ability to pass a respirator fit test and physical Read and understand Robinson weld detail drawings, weld procedures, and shop travelers. Fluent in English, working with written and verbal communication. Skills and Knowledge
